About WaterWarden

Our Story

WaterWarden started with a straightforward goal: build pool safety products that homeowners could install themselves without sacrificing the protection standards that professionals demand. Five decades later, that goal still drives every design decision, material choice, and quality test in the company's product line.

The founders recognized early that residential pool accidents happened most often when barriers were either absent or poorly maintained. Custom-installed covers and fences cost thousands of dollars and required scheduling contractors weeks in advance. Many families skipped safety barriers entirely because of the cost and complexity. WaterWarden closed that gap by engineering safety covers, fences, and nets that ship complete with all hardware, brass anchors, tamping tools, and installation instructions.

Every WaterWarden safety cover earns UL classification to ASTM Standard F1346-91 through independent laboratory testing. The company's removable pool fences carry UL certification to ASTM F2288. Those classifications mean a third party verified that each product meets the load-bearing, barrier, and drainage requirements set by national safety organizations. WaterWarden does not self-certify or rely on internal testing alone.

Materials selection reflects the company's emphasis on longevity under outdoor conditions. Safety covers use thick polypropylene with triple-stitched 2-ply strapping that delivers over 4,000 lbs of break strength. Non-corrosive aluminum tips and hand-sewn X-tacking reinforce every strap. Abrasion-resistant pads protect the cover at each contact point with the pool deck. Pool fences use UV-protected Meshylene fabric with reinforced edging to prevent fraying in direct sunlight.

The safety net line uses 100% polyethylene netting treated with UV inhibitors. The netting resists degradation from pool chemicals and chlorine. Brass anchors and stainless-steel clips secure the net to the deck without corroding over time. Each net ships with binding materials and a quick-roll storage reel for easy seasonal storage.

WaterWarden products protect pools across all climate zones. The UV inhibitors built into every mesh fabric, fence panel, and netting material withstand the intense Florida sun, cold Midwest winters, and humid Gulf Coast conditions. Homeowners in every region install, remove, and reinstall these products season after season without replacing degraded components.

The WaterWarden product catalog includes safety covers for rectangular pools from 14x28 to 20x40 feet, with configurations for center steps, left offset steps, and right offset steps. The fence line offers 4-foot-tall sections in black and beige. Safety nets cover both inground and above-ground pools. Every product ships with the brass anchors, tools, and hardware needed for a complete DIY installation.
